Ace (a Black Lab/Coon Dog mix)
has been missing Since 4/16/08. He's 8 1/2 years old, solid black (except for the white on his chin that shows his age) very tall and lanky with sweet brown eyes and extremely friendly to all. He's afraid of storms, howls at passing trains and loves sleeping on the futon. He's able to get out of most collars and jumps fences. He was lost in the Christina, Tenn. area. Please call (615)556-8611 with any information.

Mata
has been missing since April 5, 2008. She was adopted from the Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association from a family living on Russell Street in the Brookhaven Subdivision. There are a lot of woods around there, so she could be anywhere in the South Side area. SBCHA is actively looking for this young female spayed Shepherd mix puppy. She is wearing a yellow collar with her Rabies tag attached. If you see her please call 931-684-KIND or 931-703-1536. We really need to find her. She's very friendly, but may be scared. She has lived her whole life at the shelter. Here's her photo:

Mata was found April 9, 2008 off Lewisburg Hwy.

Our dog is still missing. We live in the Normandy area and she accidently got out with another one of our dogs at 5:30 a.m. on 1/20.  The other returned at around 1:00 a.m. on 1/21, without the other one.  She is a pit/boxer mixed, spayed two year old and is an indoor dog.  She is brownish/red and white and has a scar on the top of her head.   She was wearing a purple reflector collar, but we hadn't put her tags on it yet.  We run an ad in the Shelbyville paper last week and had a few leads over the weekend but they were not our dog.  We are running an ad in the Tullahoma paper today, Friday and Sunday to begin with.

I just wanted to let you know she was still missing and we would appreciate any help you can give us.  The best number to call would be my husband's cell # which is 615-708-6772.  Our home number is 857-3291.  Her name is Nipper and she is spoiled rotten, very friendly, and we are just heartbroken.  She loves eating ice cubes from the dispenser on the front of our refrigerator and if someone has her they wouldn't know that.  Please contact these people or the Humane if you have any information that will help them to find their 4-legged companion.

Happy Update to this missing pet: (posted Feb. 11, 2008)
I just wanted to let you know that our dog is home safe, skinny, tired and seems to be happy to be here.  I had a call from two girls an hour or so ago and they said she had been popping in and out but one of their dogs kept running her off.  "As the crow flies" she was probably only a mile away.  I just had to drive up by the lake and through some back roads that head back in the direction of Normandy.

It would have been three weeks tomorrow she has been missing.  I feel blessed and this is definitely a miracle.  Thank you all for your assistance and patience in enduring this frantic owner and our emails and calls.  Bless you in all that you do to help animals in need.

Sue
